Free things you should know about:
- Just steps from the Hotel Monte Carlo you will find the home of one of the cleanest beaches in the country. The best part about our beautiful Five Star Rated beach is that, unlike other resorts along the Atlantic Ocean, our city’s 10 ½ mile beach is free.
- Guests of the Hotel Monte Carlo & Suites enjoy one complimentary parking space per room.
- Whether in town for business or leisure, our guests have the benefit of free wireless internet here at the Hotel Monte Carlo.
- Free tennis courts, playground and sports fields are just one block from our hotel (Skate Park available for a nominal fee).
- Go fishing right off of our shores or from the nearby Route 50 Bridge at no cost to you. Various downtown bayside docks allow public fishing access.

From our free beach to our seaside movie nights, some of the most enjoyable activities in Ocean City are free.
Family Movie Nights start at 7:30 p.m. every Monday and Friday with arts, crafts games and other activities on the beach at 27th Street. Movies start at around 8:45 p.m. and run to around 10:30 p.m., weather permitting. June 29 through August 14, 2009.
Free Concerts on the Beach feature music for the whole family, Wednesday evenings from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Division Street beach. Bring your beach chairs and/or blankets, and enjoy beautiful music in a beautiful setting July 15, 22 (no concert July 29); August 5, 12, 19, 26; September 2, 2009.
The Family Beach Olympics are held Tuesday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on the 27th Street beach, June 30 – August 11, 2009. Events include sand castle contests, tug of war, relay games and more. (Children must be accompanied by parents or guardians.)
Bonfire and Story Hour on the Beach. Bonfires are back! Join us every Thursday night from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. with your beach chair and blanket. Enjoy the leaping flames, and a wide variety of lively speakers and storytellers. N. Division St. and the Beach. July 9, 16, 23 30; August 6, 13, 20, 27, 2009.
Sundays mean Sundaes in the Park. This popular event combines a free concert with ice cream for a small fee at Northside Park, 127th Street (bayside) from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. While parents enjoy the music, children will enjoy special entertainment just for them. July 12, 19, 26; August 2, 9, 16, 23
Morning shows and demonstrations are held Monday through Saturday at 10:30 a.m., at the Ocean City Life-Saving Station Museum (south end of the boardwalk). See feedings at the museum’s aquarium, learn about sharks, beach safety and knot-tying, to name a few.
